Full with stories about his growing up in the lake and bonding with nature. Is about the rise and fall of a great guitar player and man. But this book is not just about the dirty little secrets, it is more than that. How Tyler was running behind the band’s back to audition for Led Zeppelin and American Idol. Joe Perry really spills all the beans on this one. I was a bit skeptical when i first bought this boom because it is co written with David Ritz, and last time i picked up a book co written with him, it was horrible. # of Pages: 496 Jtherealrene blythe, book, book review, dark, dark days, days, god, lamb, lamb of god, of, prison, randy, randy blythe, randy blythe dark days, review 2 Comments Joe Perry: Rocks (book review) You guys are always great, and keep up the awesome job on publishing great books!įor more info visit and check other awesome selection of books. Thank you Da Capo Press for the copy of this book. Randy has an exceptiomal writing style that is easy to follow and he doesnt bullshit around. If you would like an inspirational read then look no further.
There are a couple of great chapter that anyone (wether you like Randy or LoG) could benefit from. I think there is also some great advice for anyone who is looking to get sober or just make a better living period. He also talks about his annoying cell mate and some of the shady characters that he came across during rec time. The horrible living conditions, the once every few days showers, and showering with inmates who had tuberculosis and venereal diseases.
In this memoir, Randy of course talks about his 37 days in prison (i think we all knew he would eventually write a book about that, just not this soon). That right there alone shows what a great standup person he is. He is a man of his word and he kept it by going back to the Czech Republic even though he was advised by many people not to go. Randy has always had a unique way of expressing himself, both through his music and the way he does interviews. But this not only the story about Randy’s prison time, but an inspirational book to any alcoholic or drug addict out there. What a riveting story by one of the best heavy metal singers ever (in my opinion). If not contact in 2 days I will have to select another winner Thanks for following and reading my reviews! The way Clinton talks it doesnt look like he will stop anytime soon!Īnd now what you all are really here for (lol) Maybe we’ll see another book in the future. Even though this book is not as long as it couldve been, Clinton still did an awesome job in putting his life to paper. You get a sense of somewhat honesty, but with such a long career he couldve wrote a book of 500+ pages. He describes going on many rides with Sly to score drugs, how they wrote music together, and the different drugs they took. I think we all know how Clinton struggled with drugs throughout his career and he is very blunt when talking about it. It was really enjoyable to go back in time and see what he was thinking when he was writing and coming up with those records from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Clinton does an incredible job describing a lot of his catalogue in detail. First of all, i think you have to be a fan of Clinton and funk music in general to understand this memoir. This week i bring you George Clinton’s memoir. Check out Their Website for some great books. Thanks a lot to Da Capo Press for providing me with a copy of this book. Seriously, go get yourself a copy of CT’s latest book, you wont regret it.
And it also one I will be referring back to in the future. This is honestly the funniest book I’ve read in a long, long time. There are so many things he talks about that is hard to say a lot of them without giving his stories away. “The Neck” as so people call him, among his many other nicknames doesnt only share with us what makes him angry, Taylor also has some great advice for when you are traveling, what to and not to do when you’re at the airport. From leaving a guy on the street because he puked and shit his pants, to going to these so called hollywood parties, to just ripping Justin Bierber to shits, to what is wrong with some this newer generation of kids. Taylor has plenty of super hilarious stories, which will having you literally laughing out loud. Corey Taylor does not hold back and has a lot to say about what is wrong with this society we live in today. Out of all the books I’ve read, this is the one I can relate to the most.
